Big Island is known for two things: its beautiful beaches and volcanoes. This is the most volcanic of all the Hawaiian islands. Kilauea erupts continuously and its lava meets with the shoreline, creating lava rocks which get pushed up to shore to create black sand beaches, which are also very popular on Big Island. This of course is no reason to be scared of Big Island, but instead to be amazed by what nature can do and create.

To kayak around Big Island is to catch glimpses of some of the many feats nature can achieve. You will ride past the beautiful, lush shoreline of the biggest Hawaii island. In the distance you will see the tallest mountain on the earth, Mauna Kea.
