Big Island Water Sports Snuba Doo
Snuba Doo is a safe, educational and fun method to introduce children to diving without the complicated intensity of scuba diving certification. Under the vigilant eyes of our master divers, kids can delve into the underwater environs off the beautiful shores of Kona, Hawaii. Snuba allows divers to explore below the waves while receiving a continuous flow of air through a breathing tube that extends twenty-five feet from a snuba raft outfitted with oxygen tanks. Our patient diving guides will first instruct the kiddies on the proper use of the snuba gear before leading them into the amazing undersea world off the coast of the Big Island.
If you think the kids go wild over such animated features as The Little Mermaid or finding Nemo, and are fascinated by the aquatic adventures of Spongebob Squarepants, just wait until you see how excited they will be while getting away from the television and actively engaging in the underwater world of Hawaii. Witnessing a thriving coral reef firsthand not only introduces children to the jaw-dropping variety and beauty beneath the surface of the Pacific, but allows them to participate in an athletic activity while learning about the natural world. After trying snuba in the spectacular crystalline waters of Kona and witnessing countless aquatic species, you just may bring back a young budding marine biologist home from vacation in Hawaii.
Big Island Watersports offers snuba tours with both beach departures from Kona to fringe reefs as well as boat charters aboard our custom diving vessels.
