Of course, you’ve heard the name Dole. You’ve probably even tasted some of the delicious pineapple the company produces. But have you seen the beauty of the plantation, alive with rich red soil and golden pineapples? This fruit is not native to Hawaii, but is believed to have been brought to the islands in the 1500s. Centuries later, Jim Dole, for whom the company is named, was the first to industrialize the pineapple crop. Since then, the plantation has greatly expanded, encompassing hundreds of thousands of pineapple plants and working year round to plant and harvest them so they are available to the public. On this tour, you’ll learn all about the production of pineapple, plus you’ll have the chance to take on the largest maze in the world. The Pineapple Garden Maze covers three acres with a path that more than three miles long and filled with over eleven thousand colorful plants. See if you can make your way through this luscious maze. You’ll also take a train ride on the Pineapple Express, which takes you on a two-mile tour of the plantation. As you enjoy the beautiful landscape of the North Shore, you’ll hear all about the history of the plantation and Jim Dole himself. This is a fascinating tour filled with fun and excitement.

This excursion also includes a tour of the world-famous surfing beaches of the North Shore, where you’ll witness the enormity of Hawaii’s world-renowned waves. You’ll also view Chinaman’s Hat Island and view rich coffee and banana fields. Get ready for a wonderful day as you tour some of the most popular attractions of Oahu!
