Enjoy the crystalline waters and rugged natural beauty of the Napali Coast of Kauai from aboard the Catamaran Kahanu. The 40 foot sailing vessel will take you to Nu’alolo Kai, a former fishing village with a pristine protected reef area that boasts some of the area’s most diverse aquatic life like colorful reef fish, sea turtles, porpoises and dolphins. You’ll never forget snorkeling in this remarkable undersea world off the coast of Kauai, Hawaii. You may also catch a glimpse of the legendary humpback whales when they travel through Hawaii’s waters from December through April.   

Because of the Catamaran Kahanu’s unique hull design, it is able to navigate close to the coastal cliffs of Kauai where you can view sea caves, waterfalls, lava tubes and beautiful white sand beaches. It is also much more stable than traditional single hull vessels, which means your ride will be smoother with less side to side rocking. The design of the Catamaran Kahanu’s forward deck allows a fantastic position for taking pictures of the magnificence you encounter.

After a buffet style lunch, the captains will demonstrate the traditional native practice of weaving coconut fibers to make hats and baskets, or the use of hau in making fishing lines, nets, rope, weapons and jewelry. Guests are invited to make their own coconut leaf roses, which will serve as a memento of the tour.
