Spend a day getting intimately acquainted with some of the most fascinating creatures living around Oahu, dolphins. This amazingly gentle giants love to show off their aerial acrobatic skills and interact with humans. In working with a trainer for a day, you will not only make new friends with these aquatic mammals and swim with them, but you will also learn all the principles for training and caring for them.

Your morning will begin with a lesson in dolphin diets and you will get hands on experience as you assist trainers with their feeding. You will also get a mini-lecture on the principles of animal behavior that trainers use to teach dolphins the complex performances they give visitors. Then it is time for some hands-on dolphin training experience. You will feel such exhilaration as you enter the calm water and watch an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin swim up to you. You and the dolphin will form a bond that will capture your heart and stay with you for years to come.

During your day of training, you will observe a variety of dolphin programs and training scenarios at the Dolphin Quest facilities on the beautiful Kahala Resort on Oahu. The animal training principles you learn will translate to other species and will come in handy when working with pets after you return home.
