Join an effortless, downhill bike ride through the gorgeous Waimea Canyon.  You will begin your journey at thirty-six hundred feet and end it at the Pacific Ocean.  There is nothing more thrilling than feeling the air rush by you as you pass the remarkable colors of the canyon.  You will also have the opportunity to observe the beautiful wildlife and lush greenery in Kauai’s interior.  Take in Kauai’s unparalleled scenery as you coast alongside a truly impressive geological wonder.

You will begin your journey early in the day or in the afternoon in order to take advantage of the perfect lighting for the canyon.  At those prime times, the sun’s angle illuminates the canyon’s rock layers and unfolds the geological history of the island of Kauai.  You will see every color of the rainbow appear on the faces of the steep cliffs, and the vivid colors will change with the angle of the sun.  There will be plenty of time to stop at ideal locations to take photos and appreciate the canyon’s incredible beauty.  Your guide will explain Waimea Canyon’s land features, as well as the history and legend surrounding the canyon and its formation.  The canyon, including the surrounding State Park, is home to several plant and bird species that you will only find on Kauai, so make sure you bring your camera along for the ride.
