You’ll begin this one of a kind volcano tour on the Big Island of Hawaii by visiting the apex of Kilauea Caldera, an active volcano that has been continuously spewing lava since 1983. Kilauea Caldera’s continuous eruption marks it down in the history books as the longest volcanic eruption known to man. You’ll have the once in a lifetime chance to actually stand at the crater rim of this wonder of nature. On this eco-tour, you’ll see all of the sights included on our Crater Rim Adventure, plus an additional expedition to see other volcanic wonders before descending to the Pacific Ocean to see the steam vents.

After visiting the crater rim, you’ll have a tasty lunch at the world renowned Volcano House Restaurant which is included in the price of the tour. You’ll enjoy a fabulous panoramic view of a volcanic crater at Volcanoes National Park while you dine on delicious local faire.

From the Volcano House, you’ll be driven down the mountainside to Kalapana, where you’ll witness a stream of lava snaking its way toward the Pacific Ocean from the Pu'u O'o Vent. When the lava reaches the cooling water, the result is truly magnificent to behold as a spectacular plume of steam will rise dramatically into the tropical winds.
